Re: Main Disk maybe failing!

If your main drive is not pooled, then all of your data is on the 1TB drives. The main drive contains links only. I would make sure Greyhole is not working on anything with: tail -f /var/log/greyhole.log or while [ 1 == 1 ]; do greyhole --view-queue | grep Total; sleep 60; done I haven't tried it...

Re: Migrate to New Hardware

I'm currently running Amahi on a repurposed Acer EasyStore 340. I'm considering building a new box with more internal storage and supporting SATA rev 3. Is it possible to migrate my existing pooled drives over to a new system intact? Has anyone done this, or found instructions on how? Something lik...

Re: Confused by partitioning

And just to prove that there is no "one size fits all" solution, I have a 73Gb drive which contains /, swap and the LZ. Data lives in an external enclosure. I was able to fill the LZ when I tested Amahi/Greyhole by doing things I would never attempt in practice. In daily use, it has never ...

WOL not working after reboot - a fix

I haven't seen a lot of people having problems with WOL, so maybe this was unique to me. I'm going to post it just in case it might help someone. I made the appropriate settings in the BIOS and then followed the Amahi WOL Wiki. I installed ethtool and issued ethtool -s eth0 wol g This enabled WOL, i...

Re: What to use to create a full system image?

If you happen to have a Seagate drive, Seagate's Disk Wizard is a mini-version of Acronis True image. It will only work with a Seagate drive in the system. Try all the free tools, and test them. Pick the one that you like the best, and the one that worked the best for your needs. Remember, if you ha...

Re: Greyhole stopped main drive full

Of course, the landingzone is part of the pool. No problem with that. But why did you only do it for the music share? Now all of the other shares will still have the landingzone on the small 20Gb drive? Just do as I said above, modify /etc/fstab so that the biggest drive is mounted as /var/hda/file...

Re: Issue with RocketRaid 622

New User trying to build an Amahi box with external esata storage. Trying to install PCIe RocketRaid 622 and when I run the package for the driver "install.sh" I get this... [root@amahi dd]# sh install.sh Start to install the driver rr62x.ko of rr62x. Fail to install 2.6.35.6-45.fc14.i686...

Re: OpenVPN ALS: Router does not support Port Translation

Hmmm. Check the Port Forwarding screenshot: http://www.pcwintech.com/screenshots-ne ... r-firmware

I suppose it is possible that a version didn't have PF, but that would sure seem odd to me. Perhaps a visit to the Netgear forums?
