Re: CrashPlan Testers....
does this latest crashplan app add web ui functionality, or does it still require the command-line setup to decide what directories is uses as source and target?

Re: CPU preference AMD or Intel
If you're using specific CPU features from a virtual CPU, yes then you will want to use the same CPU. In most cases, casual Amahi users with VMs needn't worry about CPU specifics. Fedora and Ubuntu play fine with nearly any CPU you give it

https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Post-I ... re_ChangesDoes anyone know if I will have a problem later moving over my VMs if I start on an Intel processor and then later move the containers on to an AMD CPU?

Re: Server hardware queries for New Amahi 7 server-Proxmox
please understand that if you pack 3 or 4 VMs on a single disk, you will experience I/O delay. This is not a good thing. Also, you will not gain anything by having the hypervisor on the SSD. Put it on a small drive (even a 2.5" drive is fine). And please have a look at the wiki for more guidanc...

Now that version 6 is out, will it be quick/easy to upgrade the Amahi app?
May I kindly suggest it?

Re: CPU preference AMD or Intel
Both can handle virtualization just fine, but for home consumer use, I would always go for whichever give you more cores with the least power consumption and then of course price. It's really a per-user preference. As for deciding on a hypervisor, get a look at the posts we have in the virtualizatio...

Re: Web Interface Vanished
do you have Plex installed?
An exterior version (not installed thru Amahi App store) of Plex seemed to crash my HDA dashboard Apache instance. I removed my Plex for a while and it was fine after. This might be a bug.

Re: greyhole and zfs [solved]
ZFS provides drive pooling AND duplication AND raidz... knowing that, I wonder why anyone would want to use greyhole in conjunction with zfs?? If anything ZFS would only provide its intrinsic features (COW, checksums, snapshots/clones, etc) while Gh would handle duplication and pooling..... why not ...

Re: Very disappointed with Amahi 7
Many users of Amahi are quite very happy with its capabilities. Many users find that you don't necessarily need Greyhole to share drives on a network. Greyhole pools drives. Samba handles shared folder security and does work flawlessly if you take the time to configure it and your system to work for...
