Re: System Migration help
I would suggest starting out by mounting the shares locally to the server so you can access them there, rather than across your network and tying that up. Buy a fresh drive (ie 2tb) and hook it up to the server via an external enclosure of any kind and offload any non-redundant shares to the 2TB dri...

Beforehand I was flipping between FreeNAS and CentOS and Ubuntu to provide a home network share / media server solution for my apartment. Amahi5 on F12 was great for wh...

Re: network gets killed during install
I read somewhere recently that amahi install relies on and was tested to work with just the DVD install and nothing supplemental like updates at install time. I'm wondering if the installer shuts off the network services for the Static IP transition but doesn't re-initialize the connection and that'...

Around 30% or so, I get a dead network icon in the top right. I can't get networking to turn back on. And w...

Re: Torrent-Fu on Android with Amahi Transmission .. ?!
Well the app asks for..
host: myhda.yourhda.com
port: 9091
username: my choice (to match the settings file)
password: my choice (to match the settings file)
After trying to shut-down the daemon, the settings still don't stick when I finish editing in nano and restart the service.

Torrent-Fu on Android with Amahi Transmission .. ?!
What's the best way to get Torrent-Fu on Android to work outside the LAN with Amahi Transmission? - I tried editing the transmission settings.json, but it just reverts to stock settings - I have my 9091 port forwarded so I can get into the app, but TorrentFu has an error when connecting to host as f...
