Re: PXE Boot

when this happens, it means that insert (the mini-distro inside PBA, which is showing it's age), does not support your hardware well. it could be that your hardware is too old or too new. you can download SystemRescueCD and boot from there, then follow the directions in http://pba, which should be a...

Re: Internet Install

that's strange.

did you check the media with the first check that comes up ?

if so, did the media check ok?

if not, please check the media. some times it helps by burning at much slower speeds than the maximum rated for the DVD.

Re: RAID mount point suggestions

x86_64 is not well supported at the moment (lack of hardware for testing)

however, you can add a .htaccess file in /var/hda/platform/html/public to control access.

Re: RAID mount point suggestions

that didn't come out right ... i think /var/hda/files is probably a better idea, because apps (for the time being) will be looking there for media. the layout expected at this time looks like this in /var/hda/files: backups books docs movies music pictures torrents i myself do have a separate (and l...

Re: Help configuring FreeNX

two things:

- my understanding is that freenx is actually done through ssh, so, even if done externally, no other ports than the port needed for ssh should be required (even if not the standard port).
