Re: Making amahi a HDA appliance
That's an appealing thought, but I would not really like to dedicate my hardware to Amahi only. I really like the fact that my server is *also* a Linux box, which I can use for other stuff. For what it's worth, I also think installation of Amahi is already very simple, and I don't see how the applia...

Two Adito questions
Hi everyone :) I installed Adito, which looks great. However I have two questions, please... (1) I cannot get Clipperz working as a 'Web Forward'. It works using regular openVPN with Tunnelblick, however. With Adito, I get the "Javascript is required to access Clipperz" message (which is a...

Cheap UPnP box?
Hi everyone, Now that we have a great DLNA server, I was wondering whether there is an inexpensive UPnP box out there that would direct all of my media to my TV. I know that all of the computers+game consoles already come with this feature, but I don't have a computer connected to my TV and the only...

Some feedback on the KeePass wiki page
Hooray for new recruits: OsTicket and KeePass, it is always nice to have fresh web apps waiting to be discovered :) Here's some feedback on KeePass wiki page... - The link specified in the wiki "/var/hda/web-apps/keepass/server/" should be corrected as: /var/hda/web-apps/keepass/html - The...

Re: [SOLVED] OpenVPN works, but no remote DLNA or DAAP :(
Himmm... Have you tried installing another DLNA client, such as XBMC? Maybe it's a WMP problem (?) You should at least be seeing the friendly name of your DLNA server ("Amahi" as default) even tough you have limited bandwidth...

Re: Amahi in TWiT.tv's FLOSS weekly - post your questions!
Here's my question: Is Amahi dependable and secure enough to be used by small businesses? If so, what kind of advantages does it provide to avoid maintenance/administration costs? Also how close Amahi gets to being a (private) "cloud" solution? We will be listening :) Thanks! Update: Also,...

[SOLVED] Re: OpenVPN works, but no remote DLNA or DAAP :(
Cool, worked like a charm. It was easy enough, like everything else with Amahito make this work you would need to set up the vpn in bridged mode. not too easy.
Thanks so much...

[SOLVED] OpenVPN works, but no remote DLNA or DAAP :(
Hi everyone, OpenVPN works great for me, but I cannot use media steaming services such as Amahi-dlna or AmahiTunes remotely. These services work just fine at home, however. OpenVPN should make remote computers as if they are a part of the home network, isn't it? What am I missing here? Thanks! :) PS...

Re: Where is my Amahitunes?
With 5.2, the web application interface (http://amahitunes) works However I cannot login as admin (http://hda:3689/) using:
* user: admin
* password: mt-daapd
as instructed in the wiki... Has the login info changed?
Thanks!

How safe is it to keep the root sql password as "hda"
Hi, I was wondering how safe is it to keep the default sql root password: "hda". I am guessing that this password is used by Amahi in installation of new apps without bothering the user. So if I change it, I might potentially break things... At the same time, anyone in my network can conne...
