Re: SOLVED: Plex Server URL not working

I encountered the exact same problem with a non-functioning dashboard link. The alternate URL is also working for me, but the instructions to "fix" the link permanently make about as much sense to me as chinese stereo instructions. If I do get the dashboard link fixed, I still have to moun...

Re: Adding multiple HDDs to a new server

Okay, loaded nano, and got the fstab edited. Before editing the fstab included three UUID lines up top corresponding to the OS drive that I used for the initial install. At the bottom where the 5 storage drives I was trying to add, each preceded by /dev/sdx. I removed the /dev/sdx from each line so ...

Re: Adding multiple HDDs to a new server

I am getting stuck adding and trying to edit etc/fstab. I'm using the "Adding drives to your HDA" work instruction. The "backup" step step seems to have worked because when I repeat it tells me the files already exist. After that the "make a dummy fstab" step doesn't g...

Re: Explain to me like a 5 year old.

You can do the following to access root user: sudo su - If you want to set a root password, you can do it after that step by doing: passwd Actually, it is even easier than that. The Fedora documentation says a root password MUST be created during installation so I was about to re-install, but then ...

Re: Adding multiple HDDs to a new server

The second step described in the wiki to add a hard drive, requires you to log in to root. How does one complete this step when one cannot log in to root? The official Amahi installation youtube video says you don't need to create a root password if you set the user as an administrator, and the inst...

Re: Explain to me like a 5 year old.

I get a password query when I enter su- This would be the password you created for root on Amahi install. I am also having trouble logging into root to add drives. The official Amahi installation youtube video says you don't need to create a root password if you set the user as an administrator. I ...

Amahi Express 7.1 disc - tsc: tsc fast calibration failed

For starters, I am a total Linux and Amahi newbie. I am posting because I ran into this problem, and I didn't find anything about it in the forum. After selecting the first "Install Amahi 7" option, I received the error "tsc fast calibration failed." Shortly after this the screen...
