Re: Time Machine / Amahi 9 issues
Hi - i have read the wiki. My first point was that the wiki states Changing the Backup Location Edit the file /etc/netatalk/AppleVolumes.default and replace this path /var/hda/files/amahi-time-machine by the path of the folder where the backups should go. Execute, as root, 'service netatalk restart'...

Time Machine / Amahi 9 issues
I did a clean install of Amahi 9 / Fedora 23 and I am trying to add Amahi Time Machine and I am having issues. Firstly, the "Amahi TM" is not appearing in the "Shared" area in OSX (but there is share mounted with my HDA name and then the Amahi TM is found there) Secondly, there i...

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Hi - no problems. All my fault as I did not ask...
Is there a way to scrub Amahi and reinstall, so I dont have to scrub my HDD and install Fedora from scratch? I hope so as I would like to avoid having to attach a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Thanks bigfoot, as always

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Output from cat /etc/passwd Note - i changed the usernames to userx. user4 was added from the desktop after Amahi 9 upgrade. Interestingly, user1 is still visible. It has administrator rights root:x:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash bin:x:1:1:bin:/bin:/sbin/nologin daemon:x:2:2:daemon:/sbin:/sbin/nologin adm...

Re: Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Hi I upgraded as indicated in the guide BUT i did not uninstall the apps (someone on the forum did it w/o uninstalling the apps and they said it was fine). The only issue I had was I could not access the HDA dashboard, so I created a new one via hda-install The URL is http://paste.fedoraproject.org/...

Users not in dashboard after Amahi upgrade
Hi I decided to do an upgrade from Amahi 8 to 9 I lost the apps (fine - just reinstalled them). One odd thing was my users and shares have gone from the dashboard. However, when i try to add the same users as before, it says they are installed. Any idea what might have happened and how can i see the...

Re: HDA not appearing in "SHARED" under osx
Hi - you pointed me to the wiki! :D ;) ;) :D On the second point, the HDA is configured as recommended in that it provides DHCP services, etc. In fact, the HDA used to appear in finder and then stopped in the last few weeks. Looked at the smb.conf file and this is what i have: # Any manual changes M...
