post-upgrade.. amahi didn't work as expected
I rescind my comment at https://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6426#p36496 as 1 dnf update and a reboot later, Amahi was not showing a web ui and it was not sharing shares. luckily I had a backup of the VM prior to upgrade, so I restored and I'm OK again. Will try again later. Guys, I real...

Re: Upgrade error Amahi 9
just reporting in a successful upgrade to F23, Amahi9...
had to remove some "epel" sourced packages before the upgrade, but otherwise, went quite smoothly.

For those interested, if you have your volumes or virtual images attached to your Amahi 7 VM and you decide to build an Amahi 8 VM, you should be able to migrate the images/ volumes to the new Amahi 8 VM without Amahi complaining. It's more of an effect on the OS, but know that you should re-create ...

Re: Amahi 8 and Amahi 7
Instead of having both be AMahi boxes on the same network, you might benefit from making the old Amahi7 box a regular SAMBA or NFS share exclusively to the Amahi 8 box, so that your Amahi 8 box can manage all the files. Achieving this may not be encompassed in the Wiki (yet) but It's easily doable i...

activity?
Hey guys!
Just wondering if there's been any activity with the development of Amahi as of late... the forums seem quiet.
I've been away for a while with life getting busy, but my Amahi box is still running!

I had to build another home server recently and went with

I will eventually have a drive in every tray.

Re: Tip: Windows backup
I don't know if it's worth diving into, but also, Microsoft SyncToy is pretty awesome as a "rsync for windows" for incremental backups

Re: Greyhole's lost loads of files. :( What other options?
might want to look into ZFS at http://zfsonlinux.org/ You can read more about it on Wikipedia zfs does drive pooling, file checksum and self-healing on every read of a file. Its not officially support on amahi though but that may not be important to you. The only issue with ZFS is that Fedora is a ...
