Re: Amahi 10 release date?
Good idea. We are short handed on the outreach/marketing side. We could use some help there (interested? :D ). We are doing the finishing touches and the beta is ready if you want to try it. It will be fully upgraded to the final release automatically, as we only expect relatively minor changes. The...

Re: Greyhole Settings not sticking, randomly changing
This is kind of curious behavior. Happy to help you if you can provide more details (and/or come to the IRC channel and mention cpg).

Re: Greyhole Settings not sticking, randomly changing
Something is amiss, from what you say. However, there is contradictory information in your post. 1) If you can do sudo passwd root, that means you were logged in as a regular user and that user had admin privileges. You can tell because you can run sudo successfully. Root has the same password as th...

Re: Bought Plex app, can't get it to work
Thanks for the update. Do you have an idea of what happened to make it work?

Re: SOLVED: There are no applications available at this time.
I went in via TeamViewer, however, what I found was puzzling. Things were running (seemingly ok) after the reboot prior to me going in via TeamViewer+putty. However, the system could not contact the amahi.org api for some reason. In an attempt to figure things out, I tried to systemctl restart hda-c...

Re: There are no applications available at this time.
If the system has good networking (can ping cnn.com, google.com, ..) then perhaps you deleted your amahi.org profile for it?
Without it it will never work.
You can com to the Amahi IRC and mention cpg and we can debug further, maybe restore the profile somehow.

Re: Another Plex DNS Issue?
Can you clarify? Is this issue intermittent? If so, it could be that your network has two DHCP servers? So your client may be getting DHCP leases from one (if the HDA, things work), or the other (DNS will not work). However, you seem to imply that you can reach it using the IP, in which case, it's N...

Re: Amahi 9 Install Issues
This is an instance of this bug from Fedora for some (apparently) hardware configurations . That said, every user in Amahi has a different hardware configuration, pretty much guaranteed, which means thousands and thousands of them, each different. It means each may tickle the software in slightly di...

Re: Bought Plex app, can't get it to work
We just recently added a "proxy" directive because the Plex Media Server has a bug and cannot or will not take proper DNS names. This gets rid of the work-around. HOWEVER, the work-around should work for you. if it's at http://hda:... .. it's the server in your HDA! That is not the "o...
