Himmm... Have you tried installing another DLNA client, such as XBMC? Maybe it's a WMP problem (?) You should at least be seeing the friendly name of your DLNA server ("Amahi" as default) even tough you have limited bandwidth...

Hi everyone, OpenVPN works great for me, but I cannot use media steaming services such as Amahi-dlna or AmahiTunes remotely. These services work just fine at home, however.
