I can dedicate just a couple hard drives to raid 1, and leave the others out of it, correct?
For example, if I had 4 HDDs, I could use two for Raid 1, and the other two would just be regular drives.

Re: Duplicating Hard Drive Contents
ok, thanks.
After using WHS for several years, I've vowed never to use drive spooling again.

Duplicating Hard Drive Contents
I would like to duplicate the contents of one of my hard drives onto another, for backup purposes.
What automated methods exist that will update drive 2, when drive 1 changes?
thanks!

Re: Losing Permissions on Share
I am also receiving a '502 Proxy Error' when running post-processing in SickBeard. Could that be related to the permissions issue?

Re: Losing Permissions on Share
I ran 'sudo chmod -R 777 /var/hda/files/drives/drive5' and .../drive6 previously, but ran it again. I just lost permissions again, after copying files for 15 minutes or so. Now when I runn the 'sudo chmod', it says many lines that say: chmod: changing permissions of â/var/hda/files/drives/drive6/Pub...

Losing Permissions on Share
I am copying files from one server (WHS) to a new Amahi 7 server. I have copied about 2 TB so far, and an error has now popped up, and I no longer have permission to write to the amahi share. I rebooted the amahi, and I was able to write to the drive again, but then I loose permissions again, within...

Re: Error when Partitioning new drive
ya, deleting the partition and creating a new one still drops it down to 2TB.
I got it working by using: parted /dev/sdX mkpart primary ext4 2048 (with no number).
You're then prompted with 'end?', and I entered -1, then ignored the unaligned partition warning.
