How does Videos5 work?
I read the wiki but it's not clear to me how it works. The wiki says: "To be available for streaming in this app, your video files needs to be MPEG-4 files, with the video stream encoded using the H.264 codec" [...] For each file that isn't compatible, Videos5 will allow you to create a ne...

Transmission: "Error: permission denied ..."
I have problem making transmission work. I followed the wiki to update to 2.04 http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Transmission I can save my torrents in /var/hda/files/Torrents and Transmission starts them after a few minutes. However, as soon as it starts downloading I get this error for example: Erro...

Re: How to browse/navigate shares from within the HDA
The files are stored in /var/hda/files/<Share>. You should probably mount the share locally ( http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Mount_Shares_Locally ) to avoid problems. What happens if I saved stuff in /var/hda/files/<Share> instead of mounting a share? I have not setup duplication yet. Will that af...

How to browse/navigate shares from within the HDA
From within the HDA (i.e. from within Fedora) how do I navigate to my own share? I transferred some files over the network from Win7 to my share. I could see/read the files just fine from within Win. Then I went into my HDA machine, logged in, navigated to /home/username/Music where the files are su...

Re: Newbie Installation Questions
You can assign static IP addresses from the Networking tab of the dashboard. The other features of your router should still work correctly, unless you are using the router as a DNS server. You might want to check out: https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Networking_-_Static_IPs and https://wiki.amahi.o...

Re: Newbie Installation Questions
Ok I played with the BIOS settings and now it works! Once problem solved. For #1, it sounds like you still had the DVD in the drive. When you reboot, remove the disk first.
Anyone can share their knowledge on my other questions?
Thanks

Newbie Installation Questions
Hello everyone. I'm installing Amahi and have some issues as well as questions: 1. Installing Fedora-12-x86_64-DVD.iso on a AMD Athlon X2 3200+ The install seems to go fine until it's time to reboot. When I reboot from the local HD, it says to press a key to reboot. If I reboot from the CD/DVD it wa...
