CLOSED: Pi-hole DNS
I'm trying to figure out how to use Pi-Hole for my DNS blackhole, but use Amahi for DHCP. It's been suggested on their forums to set Amahi upstream for DNS. https://discourse.pi-hole.net/t/how-to-setup-dns-going-upstream/2483/8 The idea is, Pi-Hole does the dns lookup functions and compares it to it...

Possible to change yourhda domain to purchased domain?
Good afternoon, I've been running my hda for several years, and it serves my purposes well for the most part. One of the things that I've been considering is purchasing an actual domain, and not advertising the internal A records, for the purposes of using commercial PKI. I'm really not fond of self...

Re: Post upgrade (11) assistance
Yup, that was it. I wasn't sure where the directory was for the plug-ins. Figured I might have missed something.
Thanks so much!

SOLVED: Post upgrade (11) assistance
Good morning, This morning I upgraded my Amahi install to 11, Fedora 27. All the important things seem to be working fine (file shares, dns, dhcp), however, I'm getting a "We're sorry, but something went wrong" when trying to go to http://hda. This was an upgrade, and not a clean install. ...

DHCP/DNS Question
Out of curiosity, what is it about the workstation environment (gnome) that breaks DNS? I read that it breaks DNS in the wiki, so I know not to install it, but there are apps that need that environment that I would love to be able to use. 95% of the time, I can do things from the CLI, but on occasio...

Will do!Thanks for sharing this guidance.
Would you mind putting it in the #Amahi wiki? We would greatly appreciate it.
The wiki is our primary source of how to's and guidance for #Amahi.

CLOSED: Netatalk 3.1.11 install on Amahi 10
Netatalk 3.1.11 install on Amahi 10 Perseverance pays off. I was finally able to get Greyhole and Netatalk to play nice with each other. I want to document this for other Amahi users before I forget how. Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk. I made a clone of my boot drive using Clonezilla before do...

Re: netatalk?
So, in regards to my last post, where I did manage to get Netatalk to work, it seems to have broken access to my shares. I believe there is an issue with Greyhole and Samba, and the version of Samba that Netatalk requires. Netatalk requires version 4.7 and I believe the amahi-greyhole distro is only...

Re: netatalk?
FYI, I got it working using the wiki on Sourceforge for Netatalk I ran into some dependency issues (of course), and an issue with how perl was installed on Amahi. A user netatalk admin mailing list suggested that I create the build package using: mock --rebuild <srpm> I was then able to install easi...
