Re: DNS not working properly. Failed step 4 of troubleshooti

The DHCP server is active on my router. I have Verizon FiOS and I'm pretty sure I need to leave it on because the set-top boxes use a MOCA network through the router to get their guide data, on demand content, etc. I'm pretty sure the DHCP has always been handled by the router, even when everything ...

SOLVED: DNS not working properly. Failed step 4

Hello all, I stopped the DNS server then eventually restarted it. But when I turned it back on, it wasn't working properly. I ran the troubleshooting service and it gave me this as an output: Step 1: Your HDA IP address is 192.168.1.86 Step 2: Your HDA domain name is home.com Step 3: Your router IP ...

Re: PlexConnect for Apple TV 2nd/3rd

The DNS server uses port 53 on Amahi. I turned mine off and no longer got that error, but then all of my FiOS set-top boxes stopped getting their guide data. I have no idea how that is possible, but when I turned the DNS server back on, they worked again. So I can't turn it off. Those advanced setti...

Accessing dashboard after changing web server port

Hi, I was was recently trying to get an app called PlexConnect to work on my Amahi server. PlexConnect is an app that runs on the server that will serve up Plex content to an Apple TV without jailbreaking it by intercepting requests from the Trailers app on the Apple TV and redirecting them to PlexC...

Re: PlexConnect for Apple TV 2nd/3rd

I wonder if some of the recently-added advanced options would allow this to work? https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/Settings-for-advanced-use-and-troubleshooting {see specifically the last two?} I don't know much about web servers, etc., so forgive me if this is not useful, but it looked like...

Re: PlexConnect for Apple TV 2nd/3rd

I am very interested in this as well, especially with today's update to the Apple TV, which brings HBO Go and WatchESPN to the Apple TV. The only way to get them is to update to that latest software, which would mean I'd lose my jailbreak (I have an Apple TV gen 2) and therefore my ability to connec...

Re: Where are my actual files?

OK, so I should continue to connect to the /var/hda/files location from other computers, such as my MacBook, and use that as if the other files are just there. I assume (and I've been reading a bit more about it) that I can just interact with those locations like I always did and it will still work ...

Re: Where are my actual files?

I guess I was expecting the files to be moved back to /var/hda/files. I guess I figured it would "undo" everything and put it all back where it was before I added the second drive. In a nutshell, here is what I did: had the server with one drive with all my files; added a second drive with...

Re: Where are my actual files?

OK, so I used logmon and don't see anything referring to the process. Just a bunch of "Nothing to do...Sleeping...." but it doesn't go back far enough. I'll have to look back further if I can. Nothing looks different, the files are still not back to /var/hda/files. I also rebooted the serv...
