Re: Amahi Energy Saver

I was under the (assumed) impression that if you clicked on that button, the AMS would ignore all other values and shutdown/standby. Well, actually the only thing that is ignored is whether clients are on - for the other items I think that it is better not to ignore them, for instance to address th...

Re: Amahi Energy Saver

Hi wobbly,

what kind of PCI card is it? What type of motherboard?

Does it work with any other kind of WOL tool?

Did you set the BIOS so that the machine wakes up on PCI events?

Last not least, when you suspend you machine, does the NIC have power?

Cheers

Re: Amahi Energy Saver

Make sure that you wait for some minutes before you switch on the HDA again, so that AES can detect a suspend that wasn't initiated by AES itself. Or, just let AES do the suspend job. After resume it can take a minute until the script is executed. You can tail aes.log to check what's happening, ther...

Re: Amahi Energy Saver

Hi kikkegek, the idea is that aes-resume.sh holds all the user individual commands that are needed after resume and hence is edited by yourself depending on your hardware's capabilities (or rather, non-capabilites after resume). Each user's hardware may need different commands to run after resume. I...

Re: gigabit card not in gigabit mode, only 100Mb/s

I suspect it's a hardware/driver problem related to suspend-to-disk, not specifically related to Amahi Energy Saver. See here: http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f ... 475#p18475.

Re: Amahi Energy Saver

Hi kikkegek, I suspect that this is a general issue with suspend-to-disk and your network card. To test it, can you hibernate you HDA via the Fedora desktop please, then switch it on again and check the network speed. I have checked the orginal thread. Is your problem solved when you run 'ethtool -s...

Re: AES - Amahi Energy Saver doesnt go to sleep

Indeed seems to be easy to fix, hopefully will have time to do that soon.
