Re: Problem with squeezeboxserver
Hi Bigfoot, thanks for responding. I already did that a couple of times but still got the same error on the fresh install. Is it possible that the app leaves traces of itself on uninstall that are causing the problem? If it helps for diagnosis. I did have troubles yesterday on a self install of sick...

Problem with squeezeboxserver
Hi all, I had installed squeeze successfully the other day, but have been playing around with the box to install other applications and seem to have messed something up. I now get an "unable to connect" message from http://squeeze, and trying a squeezeboxserver restart suggests that the se...

Re: DNS not working on new install
I have been on hols for the last week so not able to do any work on this server. I'm reinstalling fedora to see if that does anything.
For reference the outputs from the troubleshooter were contained in the file attached to the original post.

Re: DNS not working on new install
I should add, I have tried: - stopping Amahi DNS / DHCP server (both, and one at a time) - doesnt seem to affect anything - redirecting router to hda for DNS (192.168.1.50) - means all attached computers lose access to domains, no change on hda itself. - rebooting a few time I would reinstall (it is...

DNS not working on new install
My hda died the other day so i have rebuilt one on a new machine, using Fedora 14. Unfortunately I'm stuck on the install - after installing Fedora and restarting, the computer was not able to access the internet using any domain names - it can browse to IP addresses fine. Network troubleshooter out...

Re: Files not appearing in shares but have links still
think i may have fixed this with
The logs still seem to have database errors though so not sure what's going on with that. However all the files are now displaying properly on the shares.
Code: Select all
chown -R matt:users /var/hda/files/

Files not appearing in shares but have links still
I have a problem with my shares - after working fine for several months all the files appear to have vanished from the main directory, but when looking in the /var/hda/files/ directory they appear as links: lrwxrwxrwx 1 matt users 112 2011-01-09 02:24 P1010113.JPG -> /var/hda/files/drives/drive1/gh/...

Re: Internet disappears every now and then
Some further testing: when the issue occurs, I can ping the affected machine from the HDA, but can't ping directly from other machines on the network.
