Can't access other network machines via VPN
From my Win 7 x64, I'm able to connect to my Amahi box remotely via VPN. However, I can't access any other machines or the router's web console. Basically, my network uses an IP range of 192.168.1.x. When I connect via the HDAConnect VPN client, I get served back an IP in the range 10.8.0.x. So, whe...

Re: Amahi 6 Beta, for your testing pleasure!
dinomic, Everything on my installation looks the same as on the screenshots. Good idea, but still no luck. I followed the instructions verbatim until the "Add Repository" section and can't progress any further. You said you added an interface, eth1, right? That worked for you? You don't h...

Re: Amahi 6 Beta, for your testing pleasure!
dinomic, Thanks for the quick reply and excellent guide! I notice that I missed the Editing the Partitions section, right after Choosing an installation type . I don't think that this is related to my repository error, but I definitely missed that nonetheless. I will walk through these steps and re...

Re: Amahi 6 Beta, for your testing pleasure!
Any suggestions? Is the repo down? I assume that it isn't down and that the problem is on my end. - Jason Jason, I too had similar issues when doing my install from scratch, but that was defo to do with the initial setup for the network (my eth0 is dead, so I had to configure and use eth1). In the ...

Re: Paid Apps, Further Growth, Further Discussion
I was going to suggest a detailed report explaining the necessity of going to paid apps as well as the storage subscription. Without having to think too hard about it, there is one obvious reason why Amahi as a platform needs to generate *some* money... The hosted services!!! How do you think your ...

Re: Will Amahi do for me what WHS wont?
Wow.. not the most stimulating or thought provoking pf posts, but no one got any answers? It's probably because you're asking about specific Microsoft functionality/software, but on a Linux machine? ;) Have you considered using something like MS BPOS (Business Productivity Online Suite), soon to be...

CPG, I've been *trying* to, but can't seem to get IRC working. I downloaded the XChat client, but it's missing a Perl library as a dependency, and I've not managed to get it all working yet.You can come to the community channel - real-time expert help there.

Re: Amahi 6 Beta, for your testing pleasure!
Scrub that last cry for help - I think I've managed to sort out the networking issue.
Somehow eth0 was enabled, but not eth1, so I removed eth0 and recreated eth1 under "System -
Administration - Networking").
Anyway, upward and onward...
Thanks again, CPG!

Re: Amahi 6 Beta, for your testing pleasure!
I now can't find a way to add the Amahi repo once F14 is fully installed and running. Anyone got any advice on how to proceed, please? http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Self-install-existing CPG, you are the man! That helped install Amahi, but after the required reboot following the install: 1) DHCPD...

Re: Amahi 6 Beta, for your testing pleasure!
Hi all, To try and help with testing, I thought I should do a clean install of F14, but am having an issue with installing Amahi because I couldn't add the repo from the start because of a networking issue. I now can't find a way to add the Amahi repo once F14 is fully installed and running. Anyone ...
