RESOLVED: Unable to create Webapp for website HTTP Error 500
I'm attempting to follow the wiki to host a website on my HDA (Wiki article here https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Hosting_a_website#Hosting_a_Website ) Running on a Ubuntu 12.04 x64 bit machine I'm naming the site "Webcam" and taking the default path. When I click "Create" I get ...

Re: Server working for over a year now fails to resolve exte
I'm thinking I might try a Fedora 14 install and see if I get the same problem.

Re: Server working for over a year now fails to resolve exte
Also of note, up until I do the reboot after running #sh install-amahi I am able to ping outside sources (I'm in the process of reinstalling again on the assumption that I screwed something up last time.) Obviously up until that point the server is a DHCP/DNS client and not actually a server so it i...

Re: Server working for over a year now fails to resolve exte
Yes and even installed onto a new HDD (old one was getting small anyway) All other machines on the network when they don't use the Amahi for DNS resolve fine, so while I understand what you're saying I can't agree that it's a network issue. When DHCP and DNS are turned on in my router and I use that...

Re: Server working for over a year now fails to resolve exte
OK update, things weren't working as well as I thought before. Per advice from here I tried a re-install and I've got the same thing happening, internal DNS is resolving but external isn't. resolv.conf points only to the amahi server itself (I'm not sure where I can check for if it is actually looki...

Re: Server working for over a year now fails to resolve exte
Also the network troubleshooting guide needs to be updated, the service isn't called named anymore but is called bind9. Which is running at this point

Re: Server working for over a year now fails to resolve exte
no, amahi's control panel still shows DNS running, but the named service doesn't exist, nor does /etc/named.conf. Yes I'm running ubuntu 12.04, sorry. I am still unable to ping any external names. --------------------EDIT------------------ Erm all of a sudden it is now working again. Not sure what I...
