Yeah, but English is called English because it came from England!Centralised is spelled differently in the US. We spell it Centralized

Thanks bigfoot65, that's done now. The page can be found here (couldn't think of a better name for it!):

Re: Amahi as central local DNS for testing, or internal prox
Not sure of the interest level, but you could submit it as a feature request in the bug tracker ( http://bugs.amahi.org ). That will put it on the list for future development. Go to the wiki page ( http://wiki.amahi.org ) and request an account if you do not already have one. Once approved, you can...

Re: Amahi as central local DNS for testing, or internal prox
Good news. Would you mind adding this to the wiki? We would greatly appreciate it. bigfoot65, just point me in the right directlon! If there's enough interes in this feature, and want it to be made a lot simpler, then I may chat to cpg to see if I can help add this to the HDA Setup Control Panel...

Re: Amahi as central local DNS for testing, or internal prox
49 views and no reply? Obviously, others aren't interested in this feature! Good job I managed to find a way to do this, eh! ;) The result is that I can now set up internal dns entries for testing, and it'll work for both fixed IP machines and WiFi machines (yes, that means I don't need to go throug...

Amahi as central local DNS for testing, or internal proxy?
Hi all, I'm basically looking for a way to manage local DNS entries all in one place (ie on the Amahi box!), rather than have to mess about with local "hosts" files on each machine and also having to use tools like Fiddler. Here's the basic issue... I'm a developer, and I need to have test...

Re: Slow SMB Local Copy Performance
so i am sure someone will disagree with me here but.... there is really little "danger" with working directly with the /var/hda/files/ShareName directories vs. the samba share that i can see. The biggest difference is when Greyhole "deals" with them. If you use the samba shares,...

Re: After broadband downtime, Amahi has DNS issues
Good point, ciscoh. I'm relatively sure that I *did* disable the watchdog, but can't be 100% (as by this time, I was a bit flustered with not having fixed the issues). I'll be mindful to check that next time though.Did you disable the watchdog on DHCP?

Re: After broadband downtime, Amahi has DNS issues
I should also add that, what has convinced me that it's an Amahi DNS issue is that I have machines on the network that are configured for networking as follows: 1) Wireless (with obviously Amahi doing the DHCP and DNS) 2) Wired (with Amahi as the DNS server) 3) Wired (with the ISP's DNS servers set)...

Re: Changing Amahi's DNS
I will try to add this to the wiki over the weekend. not a simple explanation and will need some screenshots Thanks, ciscoh. I didn't think it would be an easy thing to document (which is probably why I haven't been able to find such documentation in the first place!), so I (and a load more others,...
