well here's something curious (at least to me). The -f process seems to release files by putting them into the attic.
I was surprised that my space wasn't opening up and then I ran greyhole -a and found hundreds of gigs in the attic on each drive.

Re: Turn off duplication in Greyhole
Daniel, thanks for this. A couple of follow ups: 1) is it the -f or the -l that will release the space? 2) once I start the -f how do I tell that it's complete? 3) will the -f present a report of its results when complete? It's running as we speak but I don't see it in the daemon queue. Thanks again.

What is Amahi? (not a flame, really)
So I've been working with Amahi over the past couple of weeks in an attempt to migrate a dozen drives out of my WHS box. I've really liked what I've used so far. Amahi seems to do what I expect from a file server - it keeps my files safe & available. But, I'm not entirely sure what Amahi is. I k...

Turn off duplication in Greyhole
I'm in the midst of migrating data from a WHS to Amahi and have an issue I have to address temporarily (until I get all of my drives install in the new server). I added extra copies of files in one of my shares and now need to turn that off. I went into the web interface and changed the STORAGE POOL...

Re: only two of four sata drives slots are being recognized
They sure don't show up there! What is the manufacturer / model of your motherboard? I would Google for sata problems with that motherboard. Hmm. How about checking for SATA settings in your bios. I have no idea what might be wrong, but its worth a try. Make sure all sata ports are enabled? Well, i...

only two of four sata drives slots are being recognized
So I'm in the middle of converting my HP Mediasmart server from Windows Home Server to Amahi and I've fallen into what could be a death blow. Amahi (or Fedora) only recognizes my sata drives in two of the four slots in my server. I've tried different drives in each of the slots and it seems that onl...

Re: Moving a drive to external case, can I keep in Greyhole?
Jonathan,
This is a little of topic (maybe completely off topic), but how did you get the esata case to work? I've got a five drive case that I'm trying to build into my server but I've been unable to get Amahi to recognize it.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Re: Install Amahi on HP Mediasmart server?
gstaver, I know it's been a while since you posted this but I found this article: http://www.howtogeek.com/63253/upgrade-your-windows-home-server-with-amahi/ I used it to successfully install Amahi on my mediasmart server. I'm struggling to get the esata port to work so I can use my port replicated ...
