Re: upgrading an extremely old server
Sorry, didn't realize I had to share them using Google Drive.
I have moved the scripts to the Amahi site, so they are downloadable by anyone now.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Re: upgrading an extremely old server
Sorry, I mean using your existing account, remove one of the HDA profiles. You likely have 2 and removing one will allow you to create a new one.
As for the scripts, not sure what happened to the links. I just fixed them so should work for you now.

Re: Upgrading from Amahi 10 to Amahi 11
Should I run greyhole --fsck to initiate the process? Yes. How will the system know that it should create the symlinks based on the real files in the pool(s) instead of deleting all the files in the pools as there are no symlinks in the LZ shares? Yes. It will see the files on the Greyhole drives a...

Re: upgrading an extremely old server
I would recommend you delete the profile for the server not being used. Then create a new one. As for reusing the code, you can but there might have been changes since it was created. I guess my question really is can I re-run the hda-install right now and use the install code on the existing server...

Re: Upgrading from Amahi 10 to Amahi 11
Hello, I would recommend you follow the HDA OS Migration Guide and do an new install. The guidance is very detailed and I've tested it several times over the years with no issues. As for Greyhole, your files will be safe if you follow the guidance above. You can also disconnect the drives with your ...

Re: upgrading an extremely old server
Hello, My main question is if I do a clean install, is there any way of backing up the current users and directories so I can recreate them afterward? Or is there an upgrade path that I can try (I realize it won't be supported at all)? Check out the HDA OS Migration Guide for assistance on upgrading...

Re: Worth installing Amahi on old PC?
Seems reasonable to me.
I suppose as long as you are satisfied with it, that's all that matters.

Re: Amahi 12?
It is only for Fedora 35.
You can install it, however there are no LIVE apps and some features may not work.
