After the boot, press <tab> to bring up changing the install startup and add:
askmethod
You can then provide a URL (like your own repo) of where the software is. I do this ALL the time.

Re: Best partition scheme to use
You should always have a /boot partition. F14 is making this 500Mb, but TENDS to only use ~50Mb. This is for your own protection so that during a kernel update, you don't run out of disk space then end up with an unbootable system. If you never run out of space in / and it never gets corrupted, you...

Re: change home domain
No, changing the domain is not supported. As the last poster hinted, these settings get propagated through a few places. One way around it would be to uninstall all apps, then change the setting and then re-install the apps. Not exactly plug and play in general ... Right now I am in LA at the IEEE ...

Re: eth0 to eth1
This is hard coded in the /usr/bin/hdactl script. You will have to modify that to use eth1 over eth0.
It may take a couple boots to get things like Monit to be working with eth1 rather than eth0.

Re: Best partition scheme to use
Hi, I'm trying to follow the wiki guideline on this, but shouldn't there be a /boot partition? If I don't do that, then I get an error message that there should be a bootable partition. Perhaps I missed it in the explanation. You should always have a /boot partition. F14 is making this 500Mb, but T...

Re: DHCP question
I did know how to turn it on by the Advanced Settings... BUT why does it need me to turn it back on each time I re-power the box? I think I've managed to "permanently set it to off" - Is that possible?!? Cheers After boot check with --list is 3 & 5 set to on? If not something strange ...

Re: DHCP question
You go back to Advance settings and turn it back on. Or: chkconfig dhcpd on service dhcpd start To see all of the services running on your system (for the 'fun' of it): chkconfig --list For example, if there are not Apple systems on your network you can stop avahi-daemon. Do you need bluetooth? Prob...

Fedora 14 -- how to know there is new code to test?
How do I know if there is new code to test with? To do a new install and see if things are different?

Re: Network Troubleshooter
First a choice of 234 for your hda address will cause problems with DHCP. You need to use an address less than 100 unless you can alter how Amahi works with DHCP. run the command: hdactl (this rebuilds the BIND files and restarts NAMED) then try host router if it still does not work, check /var/name...
