Re: Transmission Web App not starting
I cleaned up the installation, then tried reinstalling transmission, still no joy. The results of systemctl status amahi-transmission.service is below. It sounds as if the service isn't available now. I'll submit a bug report. Thanks. sudo systemctl status amahi-transmission.service amahi-transmissi...

SOLVED: Transmission Web App not starting
My transmission web app was working fine a few weeks ago (last time I used it), but this morning when I click on the app, I just get forwarded to the Amahi.net site. I noticed the service is not running "failed" status, so I tried to restart the service: systemctl restart amahi-transmissio...

Re: Show Us your home server
My needs are fairly simple from my HDA. I do a lot of video editing, so I'm constantly moving GB's of video to the server, stream the kids movies around the house, it is the central Crashplan machine, and my TimeMachine. My P4 based laptop served me well, but transferring large files would peg the p...

Re: Show Us your home server
Hard to believe I was running Amahi on a test system for three years (https://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=614&p=12472#p12472). I saw this HP Gen 8 Microserver on sale at Newegg for $272 dollars, I knew the time had come to retire my old Pentium 4 server. http://i.imgur.com/nKLLnKP....

Re: It's really time for full USB installation support
Yes, thank for the customizations to make it headless as well, that's exactly the reason why I ended up having to re-install, as I did a yum group remove of the Gnome Group, which got me into a lot of trouble. Thanks again for the help, I'm glad we have good documentation for USB installs.

Re: It's really time for full USB installation support
Success!! Thanks bigfoot, the instructions worked well except for one step which I explain below. I was pretty much following the same instructions except I didn't install net-tools, I suspect this is why I couldn't get the static ip to set properly. After I installed net-tools, i was able to ping g...

Re: It's really time for full USB installation support
I have tried the full Live DVD install again. Amahi is up and running, but the static ip address is still not set to 192.168.1.10 as it should be. Amahi is still not resolving the dns like googe.com. I'm attaching my install log, sorry couldn't fpaste it, the dns is not resolving that either. Thanks.

Re: It's really time for full USB installation support
I've been trying to get the Amahi 7 install working with USB. I do get it installed, however if feels like something is missing. The static ip is never configured properly, and a lot of commands seem to be missing from the install (ifconfig, nslookup, etc). I'll give the full DVD install via USB a t...

Re: It's really time for full USB installation support
Yes, using DVD with unetbootin does work to install Amahi. I am following the instructions here Amahi_7_full_DVD , however, for some reason the DNS server isn't working properly. I can ping individual ip addresses, but I can't ping using a url. I had this same problem last time I installed this way,...

Re: It's really time for full USB installation support
I tried this ( https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/USB_Install ) several times before giving up. I get to the point where the installer requires partitioning of the drives. I always get the exclamation point on selecting the installation source, but I don't get any option to select the USB drive. I sti...
