Installed the 2nd HDD with no problem.
I guess the issue that hung tbe machine before might have ave been a formatting problem.
Tomorrow I will mount and set the hdd according to the guide. ✌

Is there a way to assign access rights ( read only or read and write) to sub folders or only folders? Or do I have to un nest the sub folders and create them as indivisdual shares ...

Well.... kind of did not get a chance...
I shut down the server..
connected the 2nd hdd to the mother board and rebooted.... since then I have not been able to access hda nor PUTTY.
thus have not been able to run the commands in the guide.
