Re: Found simple solution for USB install with Express CD
Just the .iso I downloaded. Previously, I had tried using Unetbootin to create a flash drive of the Express CD. I couldn't get past the bootloader without changing some of the parameters. Even then, the install failed. I went through the trouble of doing the full manual install. But decided I'd like...

Re: Found simple solution for USB install with Express CD
I'm not sure if it's worth mentioning, but I had previously used rawrite to put the full live CD on my flash drive. I booted from that and installed it, but decided I'd give the Express CD a shot, since I had never used this program before.

Re: Found simple solution for USB install with Express CD
I did nothing special.
- I ran the program as admin (Windows 8).
Booted my Amahi machine, with just one drive installed (plus the flash drive).
From my BIOS, I selected the non-UEFI version of my flash drive.
I got the Amahi bootloader and it began installing.

Found simple solution for USB install with Express CD
I used rawrite32 to copy the Express CD to a flash drive. It worked perfectly.

Re: Amahi / Ubuntu Stopped working....read only file system
Sorry about the image. I was expecting the forum to auto downsize it and I promptly removed it myself.
As for my Amahi server. When I boot it up, startup service fails because the hard drive is in read only mode. Do you think there could be another problem, besides a failed disk?

Amahi / Ubuntu Stopped working....read only file system
My Amahi server no longer boots. It stops on the grub screen. If I select a boot option, it gets errors and asks my to Fix, Ignore, or Skip. I've tried fixing without any luck. It does boot to the Ubuntu login screen. If I try logging in, it stops booting. I've pressed Ctrl+Alt+F1 and logged in that...

Stop Couchpotato and Sick Beard from Saving as root???
Couch potato and Sick Bear save everything as root, which means that I cannot move/edit these files from the network share in Windows. Is there a fix for this behavior?

Re: How to Manually Uninstall an App???
I suspect the reason it's live for me is a bug in Amahi's handling of apps then. I paid for the app, which probably allows me access to all versions, even though the Ubuntu version is in beta. I was able to pay for it because it's live for Amahi 7. Unless Amahi intentionally allows access to paid ap...

Re: How to Manually Uninstall an App???
I understand your not wanting to update/support Amahi 6 apps. This one doesn't really need much and is easy to fix. I'm staying on 6 until Amahi 7 gets better greyhole support. Also, I don't have an optical drive on my server. I tried installing 7 with a USB drive, but every time I got to the second...
