BTW DVD install does work. We have tested it many times. It may have not worked for you but others have had no issues.

Did you click the Run fsck button on the Greyhole UI status page? Also is Samba running or been restarted since you made changes? Anyone doing an install on Gen8 by HP, you'll have to change the SATA controller to Legacy and then change boot order to Controller 2 as boot up if you intend to use the ODD port (SATA5) for a SSD or HDD. Still setting this up as I type this, but it's booting.
