Thanks for your help. I can confirm that Samba is working.Happy to hear it's working.
BTW DVD install does work. We have tested it many times. It may have not worked for you but others have had no issues.

Re: On fresh install, unable to start Greyhole
Check out the Amahi 9 troubleshooting page. The last item might be related to your issue. Yes, extra reboot does the trick. And using the NET INSTALL (vs the DVD install); Samba is working. My internet is pretty bad, hence why I chose the DVD install. Greyhole appears to be functional too. Time to ...

Re: On fresh install, unable to start Greyhole
Update. Two fresh installs on different systems, both same result. After Fedora install (from DVD image), I let it reboot, install Amahi using my install code, let it reboot. Test internet connection. I can ping an external IP, but a host name. Odd because it downloads the RPM file fine prior to Ama...

Re: SOLVED: Pool Migration Issue
No problem. I'm testing the Amahi installation on different hardware this morning to see if I get the same issue.

Re: On fresh install, unable to start Greyhole
Did you click the Run fsck button on the Greyhole UI status page? Also is Samba running or been restarted since you made changes? Running FSCK did nothing to the greyhole status, but it would appear that the samba serivce isn't running. systemctl status smb --> http://paste.fedoraproject.org/366505...

SOLVED: On fresh install, unable to start Greyhole
Amahi 9 fresh install (Fedora 23) System setup - http://paste.fedoraproject.org/366467/32527571/ Followed install instructions, setup drive with /boot, / and /swap only (removed /home). Installed Greyhole UI, Disk Stats and Disk Wizard. Booted up, all is well. Added a fresh drive (3tb). Added it as ...

Re: Pool Migration Issue
Also would be good if you followed the HDA OS Migration Guide . It was designed for moving from Ubuntu to the latest Amahi stable release. Thanks, I'm following that, i've hit the snag at Verify Operational Before proceeding to the next section, verify Greyhole is working properly. This can be done...

Re: Pool Migration Issue
I'll be renaming the shares to capitalized first letter, to match what's in the drive pool. My drive pool from 6.3 has Capitalized first letters; eg /var/hda/files/drives/drive5/gh/Books Just to double check, since it's probably better to stick with what Amahi 9 likes (ready for the NEXT migration),...

SOLVED: Pool Migration Issue
I'm moving from Amahi 6.3 to 9. Perfect time, my motherboard died. It's running fine so far, but I cannot get my Drive Pool in. The reason? The shares in Amahi 6.3 had capitals at the beginning and in amahi 9 they're all lowercase. WARN initialize: Found a share (Backup) defined in /etc/greyhole.con...

Re: Amahi and Greyhole install on an HP Proliant Gen8 Server.
Anyone doing an install on Gen8 by HP, you'll have to change the SATA controller to Legacy and then change boot order to Controller 2 as boot up if you intend to use the ODD port (SATA5) for a SSD or HDD. Still setting this up as I type this, but it's booting.
