quick question for understanding how my drives are used now
I just added a 4th drive to my server. I'm curious how greyhole will use it considering my setup. Here it is.. /var/hda/files = 1.5 tb /var/hda/files/drives/drive1 = 1 tb /var/hda/files/drives/drive2 = 1 tb /var/hda/files/drives/drive3 = 2 tb All drives are in the pool. I understand that /files is m...

Re: Force Files From Landing Zone?
2 things... I noticed after watching activity via tail -f /var/log/greyhole.log That you may need to run the commands in seperate instances so first, do greyhole -f then let it finish (you can watch it with the "tail"command above) then do greyhole -l to balance thru the drives. I just add...

try deluge... It's got some awesome features such as remote access via it's own webUI, has a command line daemon, etc.

Re: New Setup, Non-standard Landing Zone Location
It's a good idea to have your Landing Zone (/hda/files) mount on the largest storage drive. That way large transfers will not fill up a drive before you run a "greyhole -f"

Re: Force Files From Landing Zone?
go into a terminal or ssh the server and run: sudo greyhole -f -l That will: -ask for your password to run the command as elevated -make greyhole do a file system check -make greyhole balance across all drives. that should do the trick.. otherwise I'm pretty sure greyhole automatically does a daily ...

Re: open VPN. Android. HDA Conect
I'm having the same issue now that I've upgraded to Amahi6. Beforehand with Amahi5 and CM7 on my phone, I could VPN no problem.

Re: Can't access media server across Amahi network
I've had lots of good luck running DLNA as my media server to my PS3.
Maybe just go with the DLNA server.
Otherwise, perhaps your still need to modify the MediaTomb configuration to work with your devices/network?

Re: network gets killed during install
Yeap it worked... sinatra and ruby-rails needed to be installed/updated prior to HDA setup.

Re: Procedure for scrubbing amahi, and startimg over.
Keep your storage hard drives as they are but pull the power plugs. Then format your OS drive and re-partition or LVM-ize the drive during the fresh Fedora 14 install and go ahead with your fresh HDA install code and Amahi setup. Once you're done, add back all your drives using the wikis about addin...

Re: mount shares locally.. mount error (6)
Ok it turns out for some reason it was looking for a /hda/files/Books share that I had deleted cuz I don't need it. I re-added it and did the mount-locally procedure again and everything's good.
