Re: dhcp not running

Try this, though we'd like to figure out why this happened to begin with.

It would be great if you sent to the support email the following two files: hda-install.log and install.log, both residing in /root.

The command to try is:

Code: Select all

hda-alias add hda
Then try http://hda

Re: Amahitunes over SSH

A tip: you probably want to tunnel port 3689 (DAAP), and possibly 5353 (Multicast DNS).

Wiki'ing it would get you brownie points :)

Re: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: Permission denied (err

hmm, in my hda, it's a writeable file:

Code: Select all

[14:45:41](1)hda:~$ ll /dev/net/tun crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 10, 200 2008-11-12 10:36 /dev/net/tun [14:45:44](1)hda:~$
so i have to assume the output you quote is from your client.

have you considered running the vpn client as root?

Re: Torrentflux Issue

Yes, i think that is the button. You know how it works :) To reinstall (as root): rpm -e hda-app-torrents yum -y install hda-app-torrents Someone in the IRC channel mentioned a "newer/improved" forked version of torrentflux called tf-b4rt (I know, super-easy to remember). You'd have to ins...

Re: Fresh install/no hda-install AS ROOT!

Hi, This is rather strange. did you add the http://f9.amahi.org repo during install? The hda-install program should be installed if you did, and it should be in /usr/bin/hda-install If not, and you rather not reinstall (which is what id' nominally recommend), you can try the procedure to install on ...

Re: Insallation on existing F9 machine

You probably mean on Firefox. Here is how to set your "home page" to the dashboard (this applies to any Firefox client in your network, not just the HDA): Navigate to http://hda Go to Edit -> Preferences Go to Main In the Startup box, click on the "Use Current Page" That's it, yo...

Re: Unable to connect to apps

I have a linksys router and I do not understand how to set it up to use the amahi as the DNS and DHCP server. All you have to do, if you want to take advantage of all the DNS goodies that come with the Amahi home server, is turn off the DHCP server in the router. The linksys routers should be easy....

Re: Unable to connect to apps

Hi Dan,

Did you take a look at this item in the FAQ?

Does that help?
