Re: *.<UserName>.yourhda.com

If you use DynDNS Pro, it would be beneficial if you could document it in the wiki. There are others who might be interested in this solution.
Understood. If I end up going that route, I'll drop something in there.

Re: *.<UserName>.yourhda.com

No and you can only expose one app currently. See the wiki for guidance: http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Hosting_a_website We are working this as a new feature in Amahi 7. You can use Amahi Web-App Proxy to expose more. Expose this app and it will allow access to most installed apps. https://www.am...

*.<UserName>.yourhda.com

Quick question: Does the <UserName>.yourhda.com also answer to <appname>.<UserName>.yourhda.com ? Example: dokuwiki.<UserName>.yourhda.com . I know you'd have to set up the alias in Apache but I just want to know if there's some wildcard DNS magic on the yourhda.com domain.

Re: Change default port of Amahi's web-interface

Did you create a web app that points to your web site? That is one way to do it. Create the app and put your site content in that dir. Then in the /etc/httpd/conf.d/####-wepapp.conf file you can add the user.yourhda.com. Yes, I did that. http://mypage.home.com/ works internally. When you do that, f...

Re: Change default port of Amahi's web-interface

There might be something in the conf files. Check out http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Access_HDA_over_SSL . It shows modifying one file to be virtualhost 443. Maybe that one is originally 80 and needs changed to be 8080. Yeah, I looked at this after reading your previous post. I've messed with this...

Re: Change default port of Amahi's web-interface

Why do you want to change the port number? I am sure it's doable, but not sure where to point you. I would presume you have changed all the applicable .conf files and apache to allow the 8080. All the .conf files in /etc/httpd/conf.d have a virtualhost set to 80. The HDA dashboard page is probably ...

Re: hdd/greyhole

Thanks rkill, I know its not much of a pool at the moment but I plan on adding more drives and setting up a raid rather than using my external drive as a backup. Not to mention the 1TB is plenty of space for me for the time being. Well, it's also about redundancy. While a large pool might not be ne...

Re: hdd/greyhole

Just curious, when I was building my computer that I have now installed amahi onto. I had purchased and installed two hard drives one was an 80GB for the OS, the other is a 1TB intended for music, document, pics, ect (basically the amahi shares). Since amahi sets it up as though it was one hard dri...
