What I did for my Windows machines is add my domain as a workgroup (i.e. home.com). This allows me to see the Amahi home server as well as any other machines sharing that workgroup.

Clientless VPN
I wanted to recommend an application I think might be of use for many. It's called Adito (formerly SSL-Explorer) and is a clientless VPN server. It is java-based and fairly easy to install/setup. I have not tried it yet with Amahi, but thought it might be worth looking at for those who need a client...
