Re: Home Inventory
Automating to that extent would certainly be nice but I may have found a solution at least for now. It's phpmybackup . I've got it installed and so far it looks promising. You can backup using ftp and can email the backup. You can set certain databases and can automate the schedule so while it requi...

Re: Home Inventory
You're too much CPG! Thanks for your help getting that installed. I started inputing items and I think the application is very useful and a good addition to Amahi. One feature that I wish it had was a button that would backup the database. Clearly it can be done using mysqldump or phpMyAdmin because...

Shared Address Book
Since it was mentioned in a previous thread I thought I'd share that I decided to attempt using Fedora directory server to create a shared address book. Knowing very little about ldap has made it extremely frustrating but I'm understanding more and more as I go. So far I have directory server runnin...

Re: new and more stable platform release (v40)
nemolomen's post about a house wide address book intrigued me because I've been trying to find a good solution to this problem. Multiple computers, multiple users and sometimes even multiple email clients on a variety of OSes means that a network accessible address book would be very useful. Has any...

Re: DNS doesn't work when connecting to HDA over VPN
I've had a chance to look at this again and still no resolution but hopefully closer. When I connect to the VPN using Windows everything works great. I can access all the webbased apps with no trouble. When connecting through linux (Ubuntu 8.04) I still cannot access the web apps but I can access sh...

Re: No access to //hda
I don't recall making any direct changes to the conf file. I just installed some web apps. The path to the root files in the phpMyAdmin conf file was /usr/share/phpMyAdmin/ /html I removed the /html because there was no folder named html and everything started working, including phpMyAdmin. I should...

Re: No access to //hda SOLVED
Just thought I'd pass on that I figured this out. The problem was the apache was not running and I didn't figure it out until I rebooted and watched the messages. The problem was a configuration error in "/etc/httpd/conf.d/1016-phpMyAdmin.conf" that seems to have only become a problem afte...
