Re: Wanting new case

Hey guys, I'm kinda itching to get a new server, won't happen for a little while, so specs are kinda irrelevant atm. What I *am* looking for however, is storage, specifically a case that is as small as possible, yet holds many drives. Currently I have an HP N40L with 6 hard drives (2 in the optical...

Re: problem with DHCP

Hi Amahi dashboard > settings > details check the advanced box to show the DHCP check box. What i would do in your instance is *turn off the dhcp on your router and turn off the router. *Make sure the DHCP is turned on with your server and then power it off. *Power on the server *power on the router...

Re: Random Shutdown Amahi 7.4

No the apps should not be causing issues. MySQL and MariaDB are interchangeable so no worries there. You might checking log files in /var/log directory for errors. Not sure of the root cause, but could be anything. I am betting it's hardware related. Thank you for keeping with this thread, i have r...

Re: Random Shutdown Amahi 7.4

Let us know how it goes. maybe it would be an idea to create an express DVD full install? That defeats the purpose of an Express CD. It's meant to be a smaller ISO, so adding all the stuff back would not make sense. Less than 1GB vs 3GB+ is much nicer. The majority of the 64-bit users don't have an...

Re: Random Shutdown Amahi 7.4

I have installed fedora 19 full DVD.it took a while due to a misconfiguration in BIOS. I have booted into gnome 3 and installed the amahi 7 via terminal, not rebooting at the moment I have not installed any apps. I will leave on to test the uptime. I think like you said the issue is to do with the l...

Re: Random Shutdown Amahi 7.4

The Express CD is a custom spin of Fedora 19 with Amahi included. To make it small, there may have been things left out. That's why if you use the full DVD and follow the guidance for it, you will get everything that is potentially needed for your hardware. It is possible that Fedora might not have...

Re: Random Shutdown Amahi 7.4

Could be. I recommend you try one of the other install methods I mentioned. It could be there is some driver missing that is needed for your MB or hardware. Thats odd.. the HDA updates to 7.4 from 7.1 I thought Fedora 19 would have all the relevant drivers included on the installation DVD for Amahi...

Re: Random Shutdown Amahi 7.4

Amahi Express CD does not include any desktop, it's all headless. The Full DVD install method is the same, headless with no desktop therefore no Gnome 3. Gnome cannot be your problem unless you installed the Amahi VNC application. The install is standard without installing any apps while the login ...

Re: Random Shutdown Amahi 7.4

Could be a driver issue or is it possible the CPU is overheating and causing the shutdown. Did you install with Express CD? If so, might consider starting over and using full DVD or USB install methods. https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Amahi_7_full_DVD or https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Fedora_19_...

Re: USB stick install

I had created a bootable USB stick with Amahi 7.1 you need to edit the path inst.stage2=hd:LABEL=Amahi\x207.1\x20x86_64 change it to the mounted USB drive depending on what setup you have. Example that worked inst.stage2=hd:SDC Problem is that once you are in the installation screens there is a bug ...
