Re: Fresh re-install
You can change the router IP address via the Dashboard in the Network tab, Settings area. The router IP address is now 192.168.88.1. The dashboard will only let me change the last triplets. As for the subnet, that must be done via command line following the Change IP Address guidance. To clarify, t...

SOLVED: Fresh re-install
My whole network has changed and I believe I need to re-install Amahi. I have a few questions: 0. My router address has changed and also the IP address/subnet: there's really now way but re-install? 1. I'm on a free plan, how can I add a second HDA? I cannot find any button in the control panel! 2. ...

Best way to migrate
I need to migrate to a new Amahi system which is already up and running with Greyhole. I need to move my 5TB of files/folders from the old pooled storage to the new. What's the best way? Right now I have two networks which are conflicting so I'd rather not use Samba trasnfers over the network.

Re: Samba won't start
I wish... But at least I did find the culprit: the VNC app breaks my Samba. Installing VNC after a fresh install will immediately break the Samba server. It's unfortunate because it really helps to have VNC on a headless server. Is this resolved?
I wonder if there's a manual VNC install...

I'm having similar issues. Can you check if your Samba server is working?

Re: Samba won't start
This is frustrating... After yet another fresh install of Amahi I gave it another try to install VNC. First time, it returned errors. Second time around it installed it by, again, broke Samba.

Re: Samba won't start
I found the problem to be the VNC app. I did a fresh reinstall and confimed the Samba server was working. As soon as I installed VNC, samba stops working. It looks like there is a problem with the VNC app.

Samba won't start
I'm double posting this because it appear the networking subgroup does not get many visits and also because this problem relates to a new install: https://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5538&p=30973#p30973 Briefly, my Samba won't start and I seem to get errros and Googling the error le...
