Migrating from Amahi 6 to Amahi 8
OK, the short version: I'm currently running Amahi 6 (Ubuntu 12.04) with 20 physical HDD in greyhole. On Friday I'm hoping to migrate the whole shebang to Amahi 8 (I have a new machine w/ Fedora 21 already installed, I'm just moving the physical drives into the new box, not wiping the 6 box or tryin...

Re: Amahi 8
Will there be some upgrade path from 6 (ubuntu) to 8? The reason I skipped 7 was the lack of Greyhole built in (I already had it working on 6, and didn't want to jump through hoops to get it going on 7) and I couldn't see a way to have 6 running while I did the initial configuring of 7 and then seem...

Re: How do I delete files?
Where is the program mount_shares_locally located? I see nothing related to it in any of the documentation. https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Greyhole Don't know how you missed it with all the RED text LOL. Probably because I had been using Greyhole on Amahi 6 and got over confident LOL sorry for be...

Re: How do I delete files?
If you delete from command line, you need to have mount_shares_locally running or you may have issues. Check the ownership permissions on your share folders. They should be set to 1st admin user:users. Best to delete from Windows if you can via File Explorer. Not sure why the files would return. Wh...

How do I delete files? <Solved>
I've got a fresh new install of Greyhole on Amahi 7.1.1-1 with populated share However if I delete a file (from command-line with rm -rf <filename/path> or from a windows computer on samba shares) out of a share (specifically /var/hda/files/books/<file name> and 24-48 hours later the file is back in...

Re: Non-amahi apps on 7?
Ah got it, and as I understand Amahi 7 is based on Fedora 19. If the pattern holds true with Amahi 8 then be back on Ubuntu? If so when will beta release of that be expected?

Non-amahi apps on 7?
I've been running Amahi for years (started with it on Ubuntu 10.04 I believe, then ran on Fedora 14 and now Ubuntu 12.04) and while it has much/most of what I want I always end up adding apps not in the Amahi store. Presently I'm running Amahi 6 on Ubuntu 12.04 and am needing to upgrade my hardware ...

No biggy, I've got a QR code printed that they scan and it inputs the password and everything. The problem is Amahi...
