Re: Amahi 7 alpha 2 release (F18 Install Instructions questi

The wiki instructions indicate "taking a snapshot" after the installation of packages. What tool is being used to do this?

Re: Amahi 7 alpha 2 release

Just a note -- this update does _not_ include new Rasp-pi packages. Only 32 and 64 bit packages. We could not access the development rasp-pi on time to make this test release. What's new: - new disks area - app installs is known to be broken - new plugin system would like to test updates, user crea...

ownCloud Version 5.0.x Testing Status

Detailed tests have been conducted since the release of 5.0.0, the latest release v5.0.3 in the last few days. As a result of these tests, especially when doing upgrades, it was decided that the current release is not stable or trustworthy to be used in a production environment. This is also a gener...

Re: Amahi 7 alpha 2 release

Did you follow the Fedora 18 wiki guidance for install? I downloaded the Fedora 18 netinst.iso image and burned it to a disc. I did the install on my bench machine. I noticed that the Anaconda installer options are somewhat different from the Fedora 18 Full DVDs'. While using the different Anaconda...

Re: Amahi 7 alpha 2 release

Any further suggestions on what to do about the Raspberry Pi install? Aerhmm... Raspberry Pi supported by Amahi? Neither Ubuntu nor Fedora can be installed on a pi (as far as I know). That stem from the fact that ARM has a number of different architectures, offering limited to no compatibility betw...

Re: Amahi 7 alpha 2 release

It's important you read the Fedora 18 wiki page :) It says: IMPORTANT: Apps are in testing. No apps are publicly available in Amahi 7/Fedora 18 If you do not follow the wiki guidance, it is likely your install will fail. :D Well I guess we know what the full DVD install side effects are .... :o

Re: Amahi 7 alpha 2 release

After installing the A7 alpha 2 I observed the following: 1. For my bench server it still appears as "Waiting install". Is the updating of this piece still to be done? 2. I noticed in the hda apps tab that apps that I normally have access appear in the list. Is this just a static list. The...

Re: Amahi 7 alpha 2 release

Yea, I don't recall it asking for a host name when I installed. Ok so in order to narrow down the scope of the F18 server name issue I did a complete new install on my bench machine: 1. F18 requires a hostname to be entered during install. I entered "localhost" as this is a default on F18...

Re: Amahi 7 alpha 2 release

Did you follow the Fedora 18 wiki guidance for install? Yes I followed the guidance but I don't remember seeing anything referring to any details such as the hostname. However I have done A6/F14 installs several times installing via the graphical with a GNOME desktop and entered the host and that n...
