Re: How can I get started developing apps for my Amahi Server?

I can just install any tools and dependencies from the server console like I would on any UNIX system, correct? I can just use dnf and install it?

Re: What is the Samba Domain that should be entered for accessing Samba domains?

The page confuses me. I can enter any different domain when I am mounting Samba shares, but the page says I need to enter a specific domain.

How does Amahi Anywhere access Samba Shares without the Android or iOS device being in the local network?

I actually have three questions in this post: 1. How does Amahi Anywhere access Samba Shares without the Android or iOS device being in the local network? 2. Is it secure to access Samba shares outside of the local network via Amahi Anywhere? 3. Is there a way for laptops to access an Amahi server's...

How can I get started developing apps for my Amahi Server?

I am a fairly beginner programmer, but I really want to get into developing applications for my Amahi home server. How do I get started? Is there any docs for writing an application for Amahi that someone could point me to?

Does it matter if I change it or not? What is the significance of it?

However, according to the Amahi page for accessing shares from various operating systems, the domain should be entered as HDA. I tried random domains, and th...

How can a user that is not administrator change their own password?

I hope this is not a poor question, but I cannot find where in the Amahi dash interface for a non-admin user can they change their own password. Is it possible for an Amahi user that is not the administrator to change their own password from within the Amahi dash?

Re: HDA Shares not showing up in Network

I do not know what you mean by CD install instructions, I just followed the Amahi 9 Install Instructions at https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Amahi_ ... _Fedora_23.

You can close it, problem is resolved pretty much.

Re: HDA Shares not showing up in Network

I didn't use UnetBootin or anything. My Linux Mint Desktop OS has a tool that writes disk image files directly to USB, so I'm pretty sure it worked fine.
