Re: amahi dashboard incorrect server status

I did the restart as root, but according to the dashboard the server status is still "stopped" The service is however functioning normally as openvpn test on the control panel at amahi.org works. So only the status is wrong, the server is OK. [ Post made via Android ] http://forums.amahi.org/images/...

Re: amahi dashboard incorrect server status

restarting did work on the crashplan server, it's status is now "active" But the openvpn is still marked "stopped" I have identical behaviour on a remote amahi server that I use for backup puposes. Also crashplan and openvpn server stopped, and restarting solves the problem for crashplan but not for...

amahi dashboard incorrect server status

According to the amahi dashboard under servers my crashplan server and openvpn server have stopped. But both are functioning, but in the log I see amahi keeps trying to start the crashplan service that is already started. see messages log below. How do I convince amahi that there is nothing wrong? w...

Re: Drive setup for new installation

I can scan the wiki for contradictory information, but a general txt with the following advice would help a lot: 1. recommended partitioning of the system disk. how large should /boot /home and / be? 2. Some advice where to mount extra harddisks under /var/hda/files/drives/drive<nr> or /var/hda/driv...

Re: HDD configuration

there is also a share called <username> under /home/<username> for every user and it is only accessible for that specific user. If you want to use these shares it's probably better to have a /home partition that is larger I think.

Re: Drive setup for new installation

Sorry, I cannot help you, but I really agree with you that a bit more guidance during the installation process would be very much appreciated. I ended up with a large /home partition on my system drive. It is however easy to put one or more of your shares under /home instead of /var/hda/files in the...

Crashplan does not connect to headless hda, SOLVED sort of

For using crashplan on a headless hda (fedora 19) you can follow the instructions on the wiki https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Crashplan in: /usr/local/crashplan/conf/my.service.xml <serviceHost>127.0.0.1</serviceHost> must be changed to <serviceHost>0.0.0.0</serviceHost> I have been spending hours ...
