Re: Green computing?

Hi,

I am interested in using something that saves power but i have absolutely no linux knowledge whatsoever, so adding it to the dashboard gets a big thumbs up from me.

Re: Amahi Access for Friends

Thanks for the opinions guys! I can see why the demand would be high for it - that's the one thing WHS has going for it; being able to give a friend your domain/password to access your MP3 collection, etc. IMO getting that set up safely for Amahi would make it the top choice home server for any new...

Re: geyhole not showing all my disks

Thanks for the reply,

I dont mind re-installing the server, so ill give it a whirl when i have a spare hour or two, i would much prefer to do that at the moment rather than do something complicated that might be beyond me anyway.

Re: geyhole not showing all my disks

What im still not clear about is if i should be following the instructions in the link you posted as to me that looks like what you do to add a drive after the os is installed. Below is a cut and paste of the first command in the link [root@server ~]# ls -1 /dev/disk/by...

Re: geyhole not showing all my disks

Hi, Thanks for the reply, yes i did have a look at that but, i wasnst sure if that was for people who wanted to add a disk after you had installed amahi. I had all my disks installed before i installed fedora/amahi so i assumed that they would all be picked up during the installation. ill go have an...

Ive just got one of these too. I didnt have any problems installing amahi on mine apart from when amahi was installing on top of fedora, i thought it had froze so i cancelled it. I then just started again and reinstalled everything and it worked fine. I know there is a solution where you dont have t...
