Re: Bridged VPN not working from Ubuntu

Turns out a reboot solved the "no valid VPN secrets" problem. However the connection is now timing out. So I assume I have a setting wrong or since the Alternate Port 1194 setting in the advanced page keeps being unchecked, that might be it. if I figure it out, I'll post back for the next ...

Re: Bridged VPN not working from Ubuntu

Hi All, Similar problems with Ubuntu 10.04. Except that when I try to connect to my "HDA" connection in network manager I get the error: "The VPN connection 'HDA' failed because there were no valid VPN secrets." I've looked around the net and found the following, which has not he...

Re: Citadel or other mail/calendar server

I forgot to mention that my HDA already has some limited mail server capability. Namely, I'm using getmail to retrieve mail from the pop3 mailbox at my ISP and storing it in my /home folder in Maildir format. I'm also running the dovecot imap server which allows me to get my mail from any PC in the ...

Re: Citadel

Hi bigfoot65, I already have Horde installed but it lacks email. I have been looking into what it would take to get the Webmail edition of Horde installed. Basically it would take a fully configured email server and I'm not sure I'm ready to go there yet. In my quest I ran across Citadel, which clai...

Citadel

It's time to upgrade our HDA from F10 (yes I know I'm way behind) and I'm looking for a groupware solution with email. I'm not looking for internet email for everyone in the house, just local. Been reading a lot about email servers, postfix, dovecot, MX records, MTAs, MDAs, etc... I understand now w...

Re: Amahi Guest OS - XEN Source

Hi nuclear316, I too have been looking into virtualizing my amahi server through XEN but have not done so because Fedora 12 does not have a precompiled fully virtualized kernel. Last I knew, Fedora project states no paravitualization until at least F13 as they are waiting for upstream changes. For n...

Re: The Official Roadmap Draft for Amahi 5 and later versions..

One thing I'd really like to see in v5, that I hasn't seen mentioned here or on the roadmap page: Feature #61, password protection for the setup pages. This could be implemented with a choice of using either the root password, for situations where there is only one administrator, or another password...

ajaxterm - terminal size

Does anyone know how to modify the size of the ajaxterm terminal window? Specifically, I'd like to make it larger in both width and height. I've already tried editing the width and height in: /var/hda/web-apps/ajaxterm/html/ajaxterm.py from width=80 to width=160 and from height=24 to height=40 and /...

Re: hda.com

really? it should only take a few seconds at most after boot for things to work! dns does not work? wait, is your client still on a lease from the router at that point? Answering for my own system, When I made the switch from old HDA to new HDA, I did not enable the DHCP on the router. It was early...

Re: hda.com

vincentr, I believe you hit the nail on the head when you asked "Would this perhaps be to do with my switching the hda off at nights (for the time being until i can get a smaller case/quieter fan etc)??" I recently built a new HDA and experienced the same thing until between 5 and 10 minut...
