Wake on Lan problem
Hey guys, I finally figured out how to set my Amahi WOL. But the problem is: When I try WOL not very long after it goes to sleep/suspend/hibernate, it works well. But when I try it a few hours later, it WON'T work. It's weird i think... don't know why... Any clue? And my NIC's green light/Link light...

Upgrade NIC, Can't Delete old device eth1
Hey folks, I recently upgraded NIC with Realtek R8169 Gig network adapter, and had some problems. But later I disabled the onboard 10/100 card, and changed the new NIC as eth0. Now the network works very well in Gig speed. But I do have a problem: There is two devices listed under "Network Conf...

Re: how to reset eth0
After I disable my onboard lan, rebooted to system. The new NIC is still set to eth1. Other than the steps above, I also: 1. Change new NIC from eth1 to be eth0 in -Administration-Network control. 2. Delete the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1, and update the ifcfg-eth0 with the new NIC's M...

Re: Using Eth1 as main ethernet card
Thanks so much for your help! wobbly! I followed your direction, also updated /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0, and deleted ifcfg-eth1 file. It works!!! I copied a 3gb file, transfer rate is around 50MB/sec. Is it normal? Now I can see eth1 still in the Network Configuration, but not affect...

Re: Using Eth1 as main ethernet card
Hey moredruid, I am trying to do this too. But I didn't succeed when following this post. When I reboot to the system, and reactivate the nic card, it says, "Device eth0 has different MAC address than expected, ignoring." So I can't activate the Gigabit card. Could you tell me the details?...

Re: Change Primary Network Interface (NIC Upgrade)
Hey tfbox, I am doing the same thing as you did a few years ago. Did you succeed finally? I guess you did. Could you tell me what you got eventually? Thanks for sharing with me! And ceayuso, you seemed know this well, could you share with me? My situation: upgrade on-board lan (eth0) 100M to Giga bi...

Re: VPN: The L2TP-VPN server did not respond.
Update:
Okay. Thank God! The Macbook is working now:
I found that problem that I follow the wrong topic - I should use Ipsec VPN setting for Mac OS X, not iOS.
But the one from iPod Touch is still not working.
Thanks!

VPN: The L2TP-VPN server did not respond.
Dear all, I am a newbie in Amahi even though I spent lots of time on it. And I tried many many times with IPsec VPN according to the wiki, and set up Macbook, iPod touch, iPad 3, but none of them worked!!!! The error message is below: ********************************* VPN Connection The L2TP-VPN ser...
