Re: Upgrade ownCloud 8.2.1 to Nextcloud 9.0.51

I have been asked to reply to this post. I have been using ownCloud since version 4.x by the way. I have been working with Nextcloud since it forked from ownCloud. Nextcloud 9 is meant to be a "drop-in-replacement" for ownCloud 9. The Nexcloud folks did not really add too many features as ...

Re: Upgrade ownCloud 8.2.1 to Nextcloud 9.0.52

1. One of the Nextcloud devs has posted "something" that seems to address the upgrade issue. I asked for a clarification but the dev posting had nothing to do with the issue. I posted a reply on this issue to the Nextcloud Community Manager asking why the dev did and when I can expect some...

CLOSED: Upgrade ownCloud 8.2.1 to Nextcloud 9.0.51

Hello everyone. Due to business goal differences the original founder(s) of ownCloud have "forked" the software to form a new Open Source Community, "Nextcloud". Many of the developers have moved to Nextcloud. The first Nextcloud release, version 9.0.51, has been available in rec...

Testing Status: ownCloud Versions 8.2.3 and 9.0.0

Hello everyone I've just completed testing these two versions, I am sad to report these versions cannot be certified for production use. I have reviewed the ownCloud user forum topic areas for both versions and have found a lot of other people are having the same issues I had and more. Below is an o...

Re: Access to web-apps externally is erratic

Here are some places you should look for help on this: 1. ownCloud Admin Manual: https://doc.owncloud.org/server/8.1/admin_manual/ 2. ownCloud Forum (get an ID and post your question) for the version of ownCloud you are using: https://forum.owncloud.org/ When discussing external connections you will...

Re: Really struggling with moving the data folder

Ah Ha! This is not an usual request. I have seen this type of discussion on the ownCloud forums (https://forum.owncloud.org/). Suggestion: You might want to consider setting up the ownCloud external storage app for this as a local storage profile. I do that for sharing multi-media files with miniDLN...

ownCloud 8.1.3: External Storage Support/File Sharing

When using External Storage Support application (i.e CIFS, Samba, local directory tree outside of the ownCloud tree, FTP), this also includes the use of the "File Sharing" application, "shared folder(s)" refuse to mount. This results in users that are members of any external stor...

Re: Dashboard link not working because of "untrusted domain"

On Amahi "config.php" is located at: /var/hda/web-apps/owncloud8/html/config/ Before you edit the file make sure you understand how to use a text editor from the Linux command line. Edit the file as the "root" user. Also for more user information you can go to the ownCloud web si...

Re: Amahi 7 DNSmasq-Disable DHCP?

I would like to disable the DHCP portion of DNSmasq in A7. Is there a ".conf" file that can be set to do this? I think I found it as an option Network => Setting => uncheck to disable? Verified after reboot using systemctl status for dnsmasq and looking at the amahi-dhcp.conf file.
