righty, i've just reinstalled fedora 12 using the basic settings again etc. I haven't yet installed Amahi since i don't want to run into the same problem. I've just run the command cat /root/ip-route.txt and it's telling me no such file or directory. So are there some network features i need to inst...

Do you mean reinstall amahi? or reinstall fedora completly? I can't actually get the amahi installer service to start again the commands aren't working. A thought just occured, where i installed fedora in text mode i didn't get the option to chooses all those different network settings you get to ch...

Hiya, when i typed the first command it didn't seem to do anything so i tried it again, then i tried the second command you gave and it just said bad command. Do you know any way to force the installer to stop? maybe that way we could try restarting it trying again with different settings? Im just g...

Hey guys, thought i'd repost this since im still unable to get the server to install :( These were the problems that were shown up by the log: WARNING: cannot autoconfigure the network! Configuring Samba ... Samba install done. Configuring vpn ... VPN install done. Installing httpd ... HTTPD install...

Okey just run that command and here's the result:

[root@localhost ~]# /sbin/ip route
192.168.2.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.2.9 metric 1
default via 192.168.2.1 dev eth0 proto static
[root@localhost ~]#

Just had an idea, could my router's firewall be preventing the HDA from auto configuring the network?

Okey i'll just switch on my linux box and track that down for you. You'll have to bare with me im very new to linux lol. I went on the IRC but when i was talking wasn't seeing any replies? not sure if that's a problem with my chat client or not.

Lol trust me to get the error no one has seen before xD

Yeah sure im just downloading an irc client now and i'll go on to it.

Erm i don't know what an NIC is. My network has both wired and wireless using a Belkin ADSL router.

No it doesn't appear to have finished. Was a bit extreme but i reinstalled fedora to get it to go again and i got to 87% this time but still stuck with setting up http. I've rebooted and there's no evidence of amahi being installed. I've tried restarting it using "service amahi installer restar...
