Re: VPN access for Android devices (HTC specifically)

I just configured my phone (Motorola Droid) to be compatible with the Amahi VPN. It wasnt terribly hard, but the method I used requires root access. If you dont already have root, this might be a good reason to get it. If you dont want to root, then this may or may not be helpful. (For whatever its ...

Full Disk Broken Install

I have an HDA that is a simple 2.2ghz (I think) Celeron, with 1gb RAM, and a 20gb system hard drive using a 750gb hard drive for the data. The 750gb is on a seperate controller, as my motherboard did not have SATA ports. I came home from work and found my HDA down. Hooked a monitor up to it and rebo...

Re: TorrentFlux b4rt

I uninstalled b4rt, ran the yum update, then reinstalled. Still the same issue. I did notice that torrents I had added the other day were still there. I guess that makes sense, the configuration files probably didnt get wiped when I uninstalled. Might that help things? To make things even more diffi...

TorrentFlux b4rt

***Edit*** Issue resolved. No real problem, mostly operator error. I just now upgraded to Amahi 5.2 (very good!). I dont even remember what I was using before, but I installed it last summer (if that slight be of info helps any ;) ). I had b4rt working on it, but I never did get VLC/Unrar to work. ...

Re: Torrentflux and Torrentflux-b4rt

The two apps arent one in the same. B4RT is kind of a break off of the ever-dying Torrentflux. B4RT is essentially tflux but with heavy, heavy mods. I dont believe you can upgrade to B4RT from tflux, but you may have been able to export the databases, I really cant remember. I have only ever moved f...

Re: DHCP strangeness

Im still getting used to the new version, but my suggestion would be to assign static leases to your devices. I find that the most convenient for auto-connecting to other devices for sharing and whatnot. My personal thoughts on the lease time: It should be changeable, or extremely long. A network mo...

Re: b4rt and Google Android

Just an update. The developer initially pointed me in the wrong direction, thinking I had an irregular install. I have only ever used b4rt on Amahi, so that didnt help to much either. The developer and I eventually found that he was adding that /RPC2 where it didnt need to be. There is an option to ...

Re: b4rt and Google Android

how does it work? what protocol does it use to connect to the server? on what port? i assume you are doing that over wifi? Yes, of course over wifi. It uses HTTP, on port 80. When I actually got to looking at it, the developer has the app looking for a folder that simply isnt there on the Amahi ins...

b4rt and Google Android

Thanks to my request, the developer of Android application Transdroid has added support for b4rt. However, I havent been able to get it to connect to b4rt on my HDA. I ran into this problem with Transmission before, but I havent been able to resolve it with b4rt. I emailed the developer, so I will s...

Android

I would like to see someone start on some sort of integration with Android. The possibilities are relatively endless. Maybe an easy to connect VPN, then add in server management, up-time monitoring, something along that line.
