After uninstalling, did you check the database and see if the tables for horde were removed?
After installing check the dbase to make sure tables were created, also check the table "horde_users" and see if the admin account was created.

The only thing I did different was installed openoffice. I am not sure if the app is dependent on having some office software or not or if this is what caused it to install, just know it is the one thing i tried differently.

No still not able to run, same problem as yesterday, and no users listed in dbase. i just am at a lost as to why this will work for you on a test but not on my machine.

Okay unfortunately that didn't work. I did the uninstall, checked dbase, rebooted hda, installed horde, checked dbase for tables, ran the app. I received the error that the script still needs to finish install by run scripts. Yes, when I uninstall the horde app; I can opem MyPhpAdmin check the databases and the horde is gone.

I did another uninstall, check dbase, horde was removed.
Did a system reboot, reinstalled the horde.
Checked the dbase, it lists the horde and the admin user however when i go to log in I receive the original message that started this post to begin with.
