Re: Need help picking apps to release

geerty159,

eXtplorer is already live. Do you have one more you would like to see?
In my (Dutch) dashboard it still shows as beta, but if it is already live I would like to see Lucid Desktop in this release.

Re: Need help picking apps to release

My three votes:

-ackerToDo
-Crashplan
-eXtplorer

All worked perfectly fine as long as I have used them.

Re: Easy web based file managers for testing.

I have tested Extplorer, and I really like it! There are however a few small things to fix such as some random crashes. Other things that have to be fixed are: -Files archived in extplorer are not owned by the right person (so not accesible) -In the file browser sometimes it is not possible to scrol...

Re: dedicated game server

Port 27003 is the port the server is listening on. When I did forward the port properly, and other players can connect to my server then there isn't a problem at all, I think. The only strange thing is that I can only connect to my server through the local ip and not through the external ip or throu...

Re: dedicated game server

Thanks for the reply! Yes, you understand that correctly. The virtual machine gets its static ip from the HDA. When I use this command: telnet 192.168.1.17 27003 it does connect, but when I use this command: telnet 87.211.202.202 27003 it doesn't. Is this fine, or not? Also VMware is not blocking po...

I am trying to host an Alien vs Predator dedicated server on my Amahi box through virtualization. For virtualization I use VMWare Workstation with a copy of Windows XP Professional. The network is in bridged mode. When I run the dedicated server it runs fine, but I m not able to connect to it in any...

Windows backup error

Hi,

I am trying to backup my windows 7 RC pc to my hda using the windows backup tool. Everytime it reaches about 3/4 it gives an error which says that the device is not ready. I am backupping to a share called backups.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this an incompatability issue?

Re: fedora hangs while booting

Hi, thanks for the quick replies, but I have solved the problem using this page: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Common_F1 ... s_adapters. I've added the kernel parameter nomodeset. This is not permanent, but it boots fine now.

When Fedora boots it hang somewhere in the boot process and the screen turns black. This problem occurs always and on the same time in te boot process. My home server is ...
