What you will see will very much depend on your setup. Assuming you've got an ADSL connection, the username.yourhda.com will resolve to the IP address of your ADSL modem. Depending how you've got this configured, you may get to see the authentication page for the modem or if you have got port forwar...

I hit this problem too and found the following page to be useful:
