Re: SOLVED: HDA-OpenDNS do not resolve for local hosts from HDA itself
Thanks Bigfoot65, that solved my (unreported) problem too. I had done a yum update of my hda system a couple of weeks ago and after that my internal DNS wasn't working properly. Based on your suggestion, I looked in my control panel and found that GoogleDNS had been selected. So something in the upd...

Re: cannot ping 68.180.206.184
Just change the example IP address to one of Google's: 8.8.8.8
It always works for me.

Re: Newbi
Pretty much. You install the OS first and then Amahi. A recommendation if you are setting up a multi-drive system is to use a small drive for the OS (even a 40GB drive would work) and then add your big drives for your data. You should definitely do some reading, particularly on the Wiki: https://wik...

Re: Swap Partition After install?
You should search for discussions about partitioning. This has been discussed a number of times previously. Here is a link to a FAQ entry that talks about it. http://www.amahi.org/faq/what-is-the-recommended-os-drive-partition-layout-for-my-hda- I think the recommended layout depends on whether you ...

I'd suggest going through the Network Troubleshooting steps on the Wiki.
Post your results and maybe we can help.

Re: Disable greyhole on Fedora 19?
Yes, it was a fresh install using the Express CD. Good point about commenting the command invocations. Simply leaving greyhole disabled results in error messages slowly filling the greyhole log file. I'll try your suggestion and just commenting out the commands in /etc/cron.d/greyhole, /etc/cron.dai...

Re: Disable greyhole on Fedora 19?
Thanks Bigfoot. Yes, it was definitely installed on first installation. Your suggestion does prevent greyhole from starting up. Question: What about the cron.daily/weekly greyhole scripts? Those are still going to be triggered wont they? I suppose I could chmod -x them to prevent their execution (I'...

Disable greyhole on Fedora 19?
I'm setting up a new hda with Amahi 7.1/F19 and would like to eliminate greyhole (since I don't use it). The wiki has a procedure for the older Ubuntu release: update-rc.d -f greyhole remove rm /etc/monit.d/greyhole.conf service monit restart service greyhole stop I can't seem to find a similar proc...

Re: Missing Webapp button Amahi 7
Hey Bigfoot65: Just a minor corrections for part of your instructions on the wiki. Where you setup the directories, I think the instructions can be simplified a little from this: mkdir -p /var/hda/web-apps/appname mkdir -p /var/hda/web-apps/appname/html mkdir -p /var/hda/web-apps/appname/logs chown ...
