Re: Fresh install F12 transmission folder permission
Hi I made this work by running WinSCP from a client machine, logging in as root, then changing the properties of the torrents folder to Read/Write/Execute for everyone. WinSCP is, in my humble opinion, the essential utility for getting Amahi to work properly, as the latest version seems to have quit...

Re: Printer sharing on Windows 7
I have the same problem. I can access the shares I set up and the ready built ones, BUT I cannot connect to the printer. I can see it, but I get refused with error 0x0000000d. Re: Printer Maintenance Tool
I have now been able to access CUPS on the server with http://localhost:631, and the problem with sharing the printer now seems obvious: the current setup shows the printer not to be shared. Re: Printer Maintenance Tool
Yeah, I can't connect to the printer from my Win& x64 box either. Also, the CUPS solution doesn't work, as there appears to be no CUPS server at port 631.

Re: Apps can't be reached in Dashboard from another computer
I had this problem, but found that the problem was the setup of the network connections on the client PCs.
You must set them to get their IP by DHCP AND their DNS as well. Otherwise the client PC will search the internet BEFORE it searches the local network.
(I know, because I wsa there...)

Re: Networking oddities
Have you turned off DHCP on your router?
If you are serving DHCP from both your router AND your HDA you will get problems.
