Ok, I have found a simple and elegant solution to this problem, which will also allow me to take full advantage of Amahi as it was intended.
I'm going to exchange the wireless PCI card that I have for a pair of Powerline Adapters.

Could this be a dns or dhcp issue?
I would love to take advantage of the Amahi dns services, but due to needing to connect the server wirelessly, I don't trust it to handle the DHCP leasing so I have the dhcp server disabled in fedora services (is this correct?)

Ok, to try and get this off the ground, first I tried editing the hdactl file, this didn't work. I then went onto editing the network-scripts in sysconfig, swapping out eth0 for ra0 in the eth0 file, changing the device and MAC address, the other settings were the same.
