Re: Upgrade Fedora 10 & Amahi 4 to Fedora 12 & Amahi 5
All of my files are held in /var/hda/files/, I've not touched anything outside of there (well, not with anything that I care about keeping). I'll give it a pop tonight, I'll just be very careful, try not to touch any partition outside of the norm and backup what I can. I'm not good at being patient ...

Re: Upgrade Fedora 10 & Amahi 4 to Fedora 12 & Amahi 5
you would probably not lose data, though this would be a good time to back up! read the bottom part of the amahi 5.0 announce , before the screenshots. A Note on Upgrading from Amahi 4 Because this release comes with so many improvements for future scalability, we do not support/recommend upgrading...

Upgrade Fedora 10 & Amahi 4 to Fedora 12 & Amahi 5
Is there some form of guide to achieve this?
I really, really don't want to end up losing data and I'm not nearly proficient enough with Fedora to know what the hell I'm doing in the terminal. If I lose data, I will cry.
Sorry if this has been asked before.

Re: Backup my server
To be honest, it makes me more inclined to go to a more user friendly server OS. I have no interest in dabbling in linux. I'll enter the odd command, but I'm not going through full installations that way, otherwise the second something doesn't work perfectly, I'll be stuck.

Re: Backup my server
I would do if I had the slightest clue how to do anything linux based. I'm not confident that I wouldn't just ruin my server somehow, and more importantly, have no clue how to fix it.
Anyway, this is pretty disappointing.

Re: give network printer same ip each time it asks for an ip
In the HDA settings, goto networking and static IPs. This way you can tell your HDA to associate a certain device with a specific IP. In order to do this you just associate your Printer's MAC address with the IP address of your choice.

Backup my server
I have a QNAP NAS box with 3.5TB space on it. My server has 3.5tb in it. Thus, I just want to mirror the Amahi hdds to the QNAP box. Nothing more.
Any idea how to do this? My linux knowledge is shocking.
Any Amahi apps?

Re: How to backup SERVER/AMAHI itself? (policy?)
I really would appreciate A way of backing up all of my data. I'm useless as far as linux goes though, so I need an Amahi based solution.

Re: Intel Atom Starter Bundle
Guys on mini-itx.com there are some good offers on where you could find the perfect hardware to build yourself a nice Amahi server. I was looking at this bundle which includes, - Intel D945GCLF Atom Motherboard with an Atom 230 1.6GHz CPU - Black or Silver/Black Noah 3988 Mini-ITX Case measuring ju...
